Every Friday’s our year 7’s and 8’s have something called Taonga time .
Taonga is a Maori way of saying treasure . The reason why we do Taonga time is so that we can learn different passions of our teachers . Every term we change around and because its only the second term we haven’t been doing it for that long .
At the moment the groups are Kapa Haka , Sports , Music , Team building .The group that i am in now is Kapa Haka my teachers name is Ms Tito . For the people that don't know what Kapa Haka is, Kapa Haka is a Maori performance . We learn new song and actions we and we also get to go out and perform at different places .
I really like being in Kapa Haka because you get to go places and perform but mostly because all my friends are in it . I cant wait till its Friday again .
